pretty little girls, dripping lipstick red from veins exposed in pearly flesh, skin sliced away so neatly. my pretty little girls, my perfect roses, my beautiful garden of poisoned petals. I find each new flower for my garden and cut into her with care, savouring her pulse but they all falter and fail fast, too fast. why, why, why are my roses never quite as pretty on the inside? my little girls are peaceful tonight lined up in their beds of dirt, shrouded by red roses and pale skin. tonight I will find the perfect doll. Her bed is empty, and my garden is incomplete without her. shes all curls and intoxicated eyes drowning herself in liquid misery dancing along black sky streets, shoes in hands. her lipgloss is burnt, glazed against her mouth- perfect, yes, perfect. and yes, yes, shes picture perfect her bones curve in just the right way and she screams symphonies, her rushed words and pleas my lullabies. the blade rushes across innocent veins, the silver singing like Sunday morning bells. and now she joins my garden, lying beneath the earth and they sing to one another in the dark; melancholy melodies of blood and blades. pretty maids, all in a row. and my garden will grow. |

This is my entry for ~blackphoenix14's My Grimm Romance contest. I wrote this forever ago, actually, but only just remembered to sumbti it after Kaz nagged me about it xD
It was weirdly easy to write in that terrifying, sociopathic state of mind... jesus, be afraid and it also inspired one of my best friends to tell me: "It's totally psychopathic, but it's...mesmerising. It pulls you in, and you have to keep reading it." Which is possibly one of the best compliments anyone's ever given me ♥ Anyway. For the contest, we were given an MCR song and a fairytale (cue me skipping around the room squeeing "MCR! AND FAIRYTALES!!11!!one!!2!") I was given Bury Me In Black, which is actually one of my favourite MCR songs (so violent! ♥ ) and goes surprisingly well with the fairytale (well, more nursery rhyme) Mary, Mary, quite contrary. So it was natural to take the violent, burning, sheer sociopathic rage of Bury Me In Black and the threatening undertones of the rhyme and throw 'em together in a horrifying little ditty of murder, blades and blood. I think Deadpool would be proud. |
